We are a friendly, informal group which meets weekly during June to visit local gardens. These are usually in Upham and cover a wide range of size and style. Some are established, some very new and others in the planning stage, some are professionally designed and maintained but most are cottage gardens tended when their owners have some spare time. The visits help us all learn from each other, about the best plants in the best places and how to care for them.
During autumn and winter we have three or four talks in the village hall. Past speakers have included lecturers from local colleges and representatives from local garden centres, nurseries and National Garden Scheme (NGS) venues.
Supporting the Gardening Club is via an email list there is no annual fee but simply a charge on the door for the talks.
New members are very welcome.
